Mz Georgia and her group of line dancers have performed in the Bud Billiken parade on several occasions. They can be found performing in such venues as park districts, nursing homes, Chicago Department on Aging, Senior Citizen Housing Complexes, adult day care facilities, weddings, family reunions, church functions, Red Hat Society, sorority parties, etc. They are sought by many to either teach or perform. Her energetic teaching style has taken her to St. Louis, Wisconsin, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Hawaii and Alaska. On February 9, 2011, a resolution was adopted by The City Council of the City of Chicago declaring February 12 as Mz. Georgia Griffin Day. |
