Georgia Griffin is a native of Natchez, Mississippi; she was born the seventh child out of fourteen. Her parents moved their family to Chicago in 1968; where Georgia met and married Michael Griffin. They have been married for 39 glorious years and through this union they were blessed with four children (three living) and five grandchildren. She is a member of the Third Baptist Church.
Her love of sports (basketball, volleyball, softball and track) peaked her interest in fitness, which led to an interest in nutrition. She received her diploma in fitness and nutrition in 1992 and in 1998 she became a certified senior fitness specialist and aerobic instructor. In 2011, Mz. Georgia became a certified ZUMBA instructor. She considers teaching seniors to exercise and line dance to be her greatest accomplishment. She is about the business of making a difference in the lives of men and women of all ages. She was blessed with a skill that she considers a gift and she uses it to help others. Her motto is “Don’t Sit, Get Fit, Do It Now’.

She has worked with artists such as Omar Cunningham, Willie Clayton, Tyrone Davis (who she choreographed ‘Hot Spot’ for) and Vicki Winans (who she choreographed ‘Shake Yourself Loose’ for); her group has also performed with Vicki Winans.
